The annual Early Childhood Employers Day and Expo, hosted by the University of Canterbury provides an opportunity for employers to engage with over 100 graduating students/potential employees. The event is split into two parts - the first part is called the panel session. This is where the students get to listen to the employers - talking about expectations of a beginning teacher and to give students a sense of what the sector really looks like from firsthand and invaluable experience.

PELS attended to promote PELS as a collective and the individual centres themselves as potential places of employment.
