The PELS Tour provided an opportunity for secondary school Pacific students to visit some of our centres and see what the day in the life of a teacher within our centres looked like. Students were invited using contacts gathered at previous events, like the SPACPAC Careers Expo and by connecting with holiday programmes like the UCMeXL programme. We were joined by staff from the University of Canterbury to talk about different study pathways to get in to teaching.

We visited three of our PELS centres. Tino e Tasi, Lalaga Preschool, and Tafesilafa’i.
